In North Carolina, it's going back up, too. In addition, the state legislature is "working on" a gas tax increase of 5 (hey! this keyboard has no symbol for cents!!!) cents a gallon.
For background, the gas thax here is meant to "generate revenue (hah!)" based on the amount (dollars, not gallons) of gasoline sold. This in order to maintain the roads.
What a boondoggle! This state already has the highest gas tax and the worst roads in the nation.

Dang! Well, that's my 2*1/100/$-worth.
