It's 2:20 p.m. here and they apparently still have enough energy to power Ellmyruh's computer. If the power alerts do go to "Stage Three," that means we have less than 1.5 percent of our energy reserves free. In that case, we might experience those rolling blackouts they keep talking about. (They talked about them all summer and nothing actually happened.)

Yesterday the power went out at our school at about nine thirty or so. I was on the computer (fortunately, I had just saved my work). There was general confusion for quite some time after that. Today the dean talked about how he's going to have teachers have back-up lesson plans in case the power or computers go out (although none of my classes except the one I was in when the power actually went out [which was almost done anyway] required use of electric devices of any kind).
