But about a day later, I read it, and now I'm not sure. Maybe later I'll go back and try to find the thread it's in.

Close, very close. You just reversed the "e" and the "o": it's "Onomatopoeia". It's as if you were going to write "Onomato-poetry", but then decided the "ia" ending would sound better!
