Actually, I was in RinkChat when Nyperold started that the other day... Unfortunately (or should that be amazingly?) I do not know the the song that never ends. I think I heard it once a LONG time ago on an episode of Full House, but not enough of it comes back to me to distract. I was thinking about the distraction method, actually, but ironically, the first thing that came into my head was a Sloan song ("You've got a thing for me", I think it's called) which I also used to associate with Amanda, and even learned to play on the guitar because we both liked it. Right now I'm trying to distract myself with some of my favorites Christian songs from the radio. "Smell the Color Nine" is one that comes up in my head sometimes, and one with the line "Our God is an Awesome God" in the chorus pops up too. Unfortunately, that Bailey's commercial is just too catchy... *sigh* Thanks for your help, Elly. Do you know any other really well known annoying songs I could try? :-) > > Don "The Monkey'Good at making light of his situation because yes, it DOES help'man" Jackson
"Our God is an Awesome God" is by Rich Mullins (who died a few years ago). I don't know how many times I played that song at various church functions over the years. I had this little music book of contemporary songs, and it was great to carry around so that I wouldn't be caught off guard if someone had a piano and begged me to play. (I only started to learn how to play by ear a few years ago, but then I moved and have had to store my piano at my mom's house ever since.)
Another good song is "The Anchor Holds" by Ray Boltz (from the "Allegiance" album). Moving along to a different genre of music, I became a HUGE Creed fan this summer. I listened to "Inside Us All" (Off the "Human Clay" album) probably a billion times this summer when I was feeling pretty down and out. "Faceless Man" is also a good one off the same album. Come to think of it, all of the songs are pretty good. :-) (I'm currently writing a paper on one of the songs, so do you think I might be a Creed fan?)
As for that Lambchop theme song, I'm sure it's out there on the Internet, but I think I will let someone else have the utter and extreme joy of finding that song.
