So, here is how things have gone down at my (former) work since last week.

Wednesday: Hear a rumor that the muckity-mucks upstairs have had late night meetings and that some changes are afoot (at the Circle K). No idea what exactly will happen.

Thursday: Not at work.

Friday: Day of the funeral. Get call to find out that I'm part of the lay off. Joy.

Saturday/Sunday: Normal stuff. Deal with lots in my head. Friends and family seem to be taking everything harder than Mr. and Mrs. Ferrick.

Monday: Go in to collect belongings and sign paperwork. Find out that a lot of friends were let go, but not all. Be thankful that I didn't have to sit around all Friday afternoon, wondering if I would be let go or not (all access to the Internet was shut off for EVERYONE). That would have been stressful and would have sucked big time.

Thanks for the sympathy and friendship. I'm sure you'll see me around here plenty.
