Well, the way I'm iterpreting the Bible in the context of this Universe is that Christ died for all *Humanity*, opening the Gates of Heaven to humans after they had been closed by the Original Sin. Some alien races resisted Satan and remain in a state of Grace to this day, others also succumed to temptation. Each race is judged and saved individually. (I'm borrowing a little from C.S. Lewis's Space Trillogy here)

> Nifty. You might expand on what exactly we are changing from, and what the options may be that we can change to.

Well we are changing from humans as we know them. The Heliopolitans (Egyptian Gods) are an example of what me might become. But they seem to actually have come out on the lossing end when their world was the Axis of History. They are insainly powerful, but no longer look like the used to (they mostly all have faces that resemble earth animals) and their world seems to have been destroyed or they were driven out of it.

> >Set was destroyed and sent to Hell, were he now serves as a General in Satan's army.

Well Set was their the last time the Cosmic Balance tipped, and even after death he still posseses increadable power. And he is almost as evil as Satan is himself. And Satan has been banned from earth since the Fall of Man, but demons and certain damned souls (powerful ones like Set) can return. Don't ask why, it is part of God's plan. Don't second guess Ineffability.

Thanks I forgot their name.

> >creating a race of powerful beings who called themselves the Assir, the migrated north to settle, and met a race of Earth Angels, charged by God to guard the Entrance to Hell (hidden under glaciers and the Arctic Ocean. These Angels were called the Venir. For a time they lived side by side peacefully, but a demon named Loki snuck in amongst the Assir and instigated a war between the Assir and the Venir. The Assir, being descended from Celestial Angels, overcame the Venir. Soon, however, the leader of the Assir, Odin, discovered Loki's trickery and banished him. He would continue to sneak back often, causing trouble and running interference to allow his demon kin to sneak past and into the world. Loki even went so far as to sire an entire race of Giants, who till this day war with the Assir.
>
> This started so well but petered out.

Well here are somemore details. After centeries of war the Assir and the Venir made peace, and intermaried. At this time Odin discovered a mystic Well left behind by the Elven race that used to live in a region. The guardien of the Well tells Odin he will learn many great secrets, and see the future if he drinks from the Well, but he must give the Guardien his right eye. Odin does this, and when he sips from the well discoveres Loki's treachery (he had belived Loki to be his own son) as well as seeing visions of what he would come to call Ragnarok, the Twilight of the Gods.

> > The breath of God sustains all life, but not all life has souls. The Breath of God is the Life Force. It is possible to lose your soul. Usually when Satan claims a soul he takes the Life Force of the damned as well, but occasionally it suits his purposeless to leave the Life Force in the body. This creates the Soulless, also known as the Undead. There are many kinds of undead, each develops heinous powers individually, but the myths of werewolves, vampires, zombies, ghouls, bogeymen, and other such creatures of the night are inspired by the Soulless.
>
> I think you need to better explain how they get these powers. Something like, "The Life Force in each person, without the soul to contain and guide it, gets out of control in unpredictable and harmful ways." Or whatever.

Hmmm, I think I'll use that actually, but combined with the DNA stuff I'll cover later.

> >Eventually they came to realize that their time was fading, humanity was on the rise and more powerful creatures were taking up the job of defenders of the planet, many of them relocated by way of dimensional portals located through out the world to the Land of Avalon. The portals can only be opened on special days and only by ancient spells. A few chose to remain on earth, some living along side humanity (Merlin for example was a 3 million year old Half-Elven wizard, the Lady of the Lake was a Mermaid). Other took to hiding in dark forests and up steep mountains (Big Foot and the Yeti are races of Orcs and Trolls). Their last great city was Atlantis, and it was destroyed by the foolishness of one evil wizard who sought to destroy humanity in its infancy. Today it sits at the bottom of the Atlantic Ocean, inhabited by a race of Aquatic Elves and Merfolk.

> This part is rather dubious in my opinion. Maybe it's just too much information too quickly.

Well this is more information for me to work with for creating characters and staging stories.

> > A new age is dawning for humanity, and the universe. The Earth is soon going to pass through what has been called Armageddon, Ragnarok, the Rapture, the End of Days, and the End Time. But it may not be the End of all that is. The prophecies are warnings of what is to come.
>
> Come on. You've got to tell us what the prophecies are about. They can be mysterious and incomprehensible, but practically every character has to know them by heart, and the readers should, too. This is as much of a given as British badguys.

Well I'm still working on what parts of Revelation, The Book of Daniel, the Norse myth of Ragnarok, and other real Doomsday myths to work together for the prevailing senario. But the basic stuff would be there, plauges, signs, Four Horsemen, The 'gods' go to war, Satan is free to roam the Earth, King Arthur returns to deffend Brittian, Atlantis Rises, an 7 years of Winter, and all that good stuff.

> >Since W.W.II a new bread of humans have arisen, the Super Humans. Their actions in this time will determine if humanity will rise from what we are now to take our place as a new Galactic Force. They will determine if we will be the next mighty race to shape the course of history for millions of worlds, or if we will be consumed and destroyed by the force of time and destiny. Many threats will appear.
>
> I assume this is the important point for plot development. Just remember to have small successes and failures in the face of the grander scheme of things.

Of course, thats what I'm talking about. Not all the superheroes are going to be aware of whats going on. Some will just be Batman/Spider-Man types chaseing crazies and bank robers.

> > The Grays and Green (also known as Little Green Men) have been visiting earth for around a hundred years, studying and experimenting on us, for unknown aims. Rumors stories abounded, but no solid evidence ever cam to light. Most people dismissed the idea of alien visitors as lies and urban legends; no government took them seriously. That is, until July 1949 when a scout ship crashed near Roswell New Mexico. The secret was out, humanity now knew they were being watched. The government scrambled, several cover-up organizations were founded; the Men in Black, Blue Book, Majestic 7, but they were all a smoke screen. The real conspiracy was much more competent and more secretive than any of these other black op organizations. Its name- The Department. Area 51 was only briefly the home of the flying saucer, the alien bodies, and the one alien captive; they now reside in a huge warehouse storage area deep in the bowels of The Department HQ. Also in the warehouse, the Arch of the Covenant, the Holy Grail, the last strain of live Small Pox, and many other mythic and technological terrors and tools. The HQ's location is hidden, no one out side of the Department is aware of its location.
>
> The Department? I think it tries too hard to sound normal. Give it another generic-ish name that can more easily have mysterious undertones. "The Institute," "Laboratory 1," "The Corps," or even an acronym, "NICE," "SAFE," "DEM," or anything. "Oh no! It's the Department of Extraterrestrial Marauding!"

Well nothing with numbers, and I'm not sure I want an acronym. I wanted to use, The Group, but then I remembered that they used that on X-Files. Maybe They won't have a name. They don't need one. Other spy and black-ops groups talk about Them in hushed tones, but no one knows that They call Themselves.

> > With the fall of the Axis powers the Nocburn fell as well, but they still bedevil humanity out of spite, and the Slivarans still count us among their allies, they have a tenuous understanding with The Department that amounts to a non-aggression pact.
>
> Good. Keep things tense. Sorta having a powerful ally is better than having or not having one, for the storyline.

Yeah the Slivarans don't really get along with Them (I like the lack of a real name) and Them would love to disect a Slivarans (they have access to Slivaran tech left over from W.W.II) but since they have a common enemy they tolerate each other.

> > Genetic Manipulation first conducted by the Grays and Greens later by the Nocburns and their Nazi allies and later my many a Mad Scientist has greatly effected the world. Humankind has, imbedded in our DNA, the sequence that marks us as the key players in the founding of the next chapter of Universal History. As our DNA is altered this cosmic key can be triggered, creating superhumans. Some aliens have tried to splice the key DNA sequence into their own DNA with varying results. Radiation has also been known to trigger the key prematurely.
>
> What does the DNA key do? Are you talking about superheroes/villains?

Of course. Evolution is an important factor in Gods plan, our DNA is the code and the Life Force key to that code. We have been Evolving towards something, and we arn't done yet. Superhumans are the next step in evolution, or the start of it anyway. What comes of it is wrapped up in the Time of Trial and the profecies and stuff.

> > With the introduction of alien technology during the war The Department had a tough job collecting and hiding it all. Some of it slipped through their fingers. Time Machinery, Personal Force Fields, Faster than light travel, television, Velcro, microchips, cybernetics, fiber optics, robotics, matter transformation, teleportation; all these and more found their way into various scientist and government hands. Some few made their way into the general public, but many more found their way into secret labs and spy technology, often used to create super weapons, supervillains and superheroes.
>
> I love it! You mixed "normal" technology with scifi seamlessly!

Yeah, I liked that, it was fun. There has been a technology boom since W.W.II and some UFO people claim aliens are responsible. I liked figuring out what we can blaim them for and what we can't. Something I left off, Microwaves, CD's, and some of the 'space age' material used in the Space Shuttle.
