I'm extremely excited for the level of independence driving will give me... but yeah, I am aware of the dangers. My brother has been in two accidents - both with me in the car - so I know how scary they can be. Two of my close friends were recently in car accidents as well... all four of those were the fault of the person I know, although none of them were serious enough to cause any deaths, or even major injuries. I intend to be very careful - just thinking about the possibility that I could have lost any one of those people freaks me out, and I know many people feel the same about me.
