Things I Don't Want for Christmas: Ok, it's a new kind of Christmas wish list for the Bah! Humbug! crowd. A wristwatch. Since I retired, the only time I need a watch is when I'm headed for the airport. No, scratch that, I have a clock in the car. Besides I have a pocket watch that I carry about twice a week.
A bicycle. What would I want with another bicycle? I've got about 30 of them out there in the shed and only a few are in riding condition. I haven't been on one since August.
A puppy. Pups grow up into dogs. We have about six dogs in the neighborhood and they all visit my yard on a regular basis.
A book. Who has time to read a book? I can't even keep up with all the posts on RinkWorks.
A tie. I have a million of them and the only time I need one is when I fly. Believe it or not, when I get on an airplane, I always wear a suit and tie. That, and a little grey hair, will get you real respect. It also gives me a better chance of getting an upgrade. It even gets you a better room at a hotel. There I go rambling again.
New luggage. What? You think I want to look like a first-time traveler! I'll stick with the old beatup stuff. It all looks the same after a couple of trips anyway.
Computer games. What for? I still have my Gameboy with Tetrus on it. What else do I need?
A digital camera. I still haven't figured out the one I got last year.
A motor scooter. Oops, sorry, wrong list. Howard
