News comentators from up north (That's anywhere north of Macon, Ga.) tend to say Poom Beach. I've even heard Pum Beach a time or two. I lived about 50 miles above the Palm Beach County line for a few years and as I remember, the people who live in the area say Pahm Beach. Or more often they pronounce the "l" softly. "Pahlm Beach"

I'm from Southern NJ, and the way I say it, it sounds like "Pawm Beach". *shrug*
