Though you do speak humbly and with some trepidation of your relationship with her -- which I think appears to have been a good relationship up til now -- I just wanted to say that your post cheered me up considerably. You seem to have shared a good history between the two of you.

You mention a number of material reminders which continually reflect her presence, and the memories which these things bring back to you are good ones. But even more precious is the apparent ease and genuineness of character with which Amanda interacted with your family. That, above all, tells me that she is special.

I hope that things do work out for the better for you. I pray that at the very least Amanda and you will continue to be good friends today and always.
