Others have beaten me to saying a lot of what I have to say, so I echo their sentiments. These kinds of things are never easy, regardless of the circumstances. I note you are a Christian, and so I will say the single most encouraging, reassuring thing anyone ever said to me when I was at a low point in my life. It's how God handles the suffering of one of his children. He suffers with you, taking some of that burden upon himself to bear with you. Yet, God being God, outside of time, he is simultaneously overjoyed, because he sees the time when you are through this, when the healing process is over, while your own eyes to the future may not. Sometimes it takes a lot of faith to trust that that time will come. Striving for that faith was, for me, also a great comfort. I hope the above is helpful.
