Steinbeck also wrote a re-telling of the Arthurian legend, titled _The Acts of King Arthur and His Noble Knights_, which I thoroughly enjoyed. The introduction to the book, in which he describes his frustration with attempting to produce a "faithful" translation of Malory's work, is worth reading on its own merits. I was tempted to choose "Other" in the poll, to indicate _The Acts of King Arthur_, but instead went with _The Grapes of Wrath_.
