There's a children's SF novel I read once called _We Are Tam_, which is about a girl who travels back in time to the twentieth century and helps assemble a time capsule she found in her own time. Or possibly the other way around. Anyway. One of the things that most impresses her about the twentieth century is comic books, which they don't have in her time, so she talks the guy in charge of the time capsule into putting some of them into the time capsule as well so she can read them when she gets home.
