I was worried that it was going to be cold and rainy but the sun was out all day, and, although it was a cold weekend, it was definitely bearable. This also meant that there wasn't much wind and for a while, the water looked like glass. This meant we had to motor for a fair amount of the trip so we could get past the Golden Gate Bridge for the return trip in time to avoid the currents going back out.

They actually came pretty close to the boat, but I never had my camera ready for the close shots and I didn't bother taking pictures from far away without a zoom lens. Oh well.

I can never get a photo of the dolphins we see around here; they play around until the last minute when your camera is all lined up and ready, then they all get fed up and go away just before you can press the button.

Ferrick, I don't think you made Brunnen-G jeolous. But you both certainly make *me* jeolous. I know I have mentioned this before. I have traveled by boat in everything from a canoe to a cruise ship, but I've *never* sailed under sail. Sure, I've been on board sailing ships, but they were always tied to the dock. This has been a thorn in my side for years. I think maybe the next time I'm near the ocean, I'm going to bite the bullet, lay out the cash, and go sailing.
