That was a great test. Very fair, and I loved the pop-up explanations of what choosing each option would mean for each issue. And being able to weight how much a given set of issues would affect your vote was a very good idea.

I came through as a "Moderate Liberal", which surprised me. I've always considered myself a pretty solid liberal, but I guess that's primarily on social issues; there are actually a few economic issues and such where I am somewhat conservative. (For example, I lean toward being able to opt out of Social Security.)

My top match was Ralph Nader at 78%, followed by Bill Bradley at 76% and Al Gore at 74%. Nader being my closest match surprised me a little. (I wouldn't vote for Nader, but that has more to do with his temperament and how I think other world leaders would view him.) Not surprisingly, the likes of Cheney and Keyes were way down the list, with Pat Buchanan last at 13%. (I was too scared to check and see where he and I came even close to agreeing on anything.)

Anyway, thanks for pointing this out. I'm recommending it to friends.
