I don't think I can EVER remember a time when it snowed before Thanksgiving. And it even accumulated. We had about an inch last night. It's almost all gone already, but it was there and I LOVED it! I just hope this will set the trend for this winter. The last white Christmas I remember I was about 4-6 years old. I'm 30 now so that's been some time ago.

Sure, you can find a minute amount of it in the mountains, but the town I live in is kind of situated in a valley, so our elevation doesn't help much. I love the snow, so whenever we are lucky enough to get some, I rush outside to enjoy it while I can. It ususually snows maybe once every two or three years, though, and even then it turns to slush mere hours later. You are very lucky, and I wish it would snow at least once a year here. I still love making snowmen with my family, having snowfights, and just watching the sun's light reflecting off the snow. :-)

Well, it snows at least one to two times a year here, but never, to my recollection, this early in the year. And the last couple of years the snow has been pretty sparse to my part of Oklahoma. Not much really to account. In fact, this 1 1/2 inches we got (officially) is a pretty good start on the entire amount we got all last year combined. I think we got a whole 5-6 inches all winter long, and that was the biggest snow we had had in years. I remember when that was common for an overnight snow. Don't know if it's global warming, bad luck, El Nino, or what, but just having a snow this early gives me hope that we'll actually have a good winter.
