In my opinion, USA look the same as ever.

I mean, maybe that electoral system is not the best one, maybe further investigation shows up some irregularities, but that's not the point.

If mass-media didn't compete to be the first in telling the new President's name, being sensationalist instead of checking the correctness of the news they were giving out, maybe nothing of all that happened.

At any rate, what really happened shows the seriousness of Florida electoral rules: under uncertain conditions, they clear up all tallies and recount votes.

I state it again: irregularities or faults in the electoral systems aren't the point; similar things happen everywhere, everytime there's an election and, IMHO, don't make USA look silly or bad.
