Ugh, I think I know what you mean. The last place I worked I made it just over a year and then I got laid off. There was no warning. They were planning a relocation but I assumed that my job was there if I wanted to move with them. Then one day I was called into a meeting and they said, "you can go home now."

At my current job, our stock is pretty low too, it ended at 12 1/8 today I think. I haven't purchased any of it, though. Three years ago it was up in the high 20's I believe. I think the financial issues are one reason they've started cracking down on internet usage; they're trying to increase productivity.
