I had noticed before I started posting that almost everyone's names at the ends of their posts had a "final word" spliced in. At first the concept seemed a little odd to me, especially with its use being so frequent. Now, though, it feels like a tradition which can't be ignored. I feel like I'm getting twice the pleasure out of mine now... A double split!!!

The point of this post: Does anyone know how this unusual tradition got started? Has it been discussed directly before, or has it just floated around as so many traditions do? If there is prior "research" on this subject, I would be exceedingly grateful if someone could point me in the right direction...
