A push and a kick for being so quick!

I can't believe somebody else knows that little thing and still uses it. I was thinking about it this morning on my way to work, thinking about how weird it was that I was taught that little ditty by a teacher in the second or third grade. Can we say "promoting violence"? There was a lot of pinching, punching, pushing, and kicking going on every month in my class. (Of course, we learned "a NIP and a punch FOR the first of the month", but it's clearly the same thing.) Does anybody know where that thing came from? Sorry I'm rambling, I'm a frequest reader, first time poster at RinkWorks. Liz, sorry I didn't respond to any of your other stuff, but I haven't read enough on the forum to know who you are, and don't really have anything appropriate to say.

OK, enough rambling. Sam, if you read this, I just want to tell you-- RinkWorks is a thing of beauty and you should be very proud. When I've finished reading the rest of the Journal archives, I'm going to send you a nice long e-mail expounding on my feelings, but for now, I just had to say something about how much joy this place brings me.

One last thing: I don't remember off hand who had the pet peeve of people forgetting ending parentheses (from one of the Journal "reader questions"), but I hate that too, and I almost did it in this very post. Talk about almost getting off on the wrong foot...

Later, all.
