First, this wasn't a school bus. I don't take those because they cost too much and I live too far away. This was on a public transit bus, owned and maintained by the City of Edmonton. So, that means their rapidly falling into disrepair, unfourtunatly. They have no seat belts, but they do have a whole bunch of people standing up in the center isle....
I think they don't put seat belts on buses because people get on and off so much. Even if buses had seatbelts, I doubt many would wear them. I guess that makes buses just that much more dangerous.
