I can understand not hearing about a Herbie movie or even a Nightmare on Elm Street movie, but it is hard for me to fathom how you have no knowledge whatsoever of Rocky (Best Picture winner, 1976. Very familiar theme music) or Die Hard (The movie that made Bruce Willis a star) and especially the Godfather (Best Picture winner and often considered on of the best movies ever made). And since all of these movies had sequels, it blows me away even more.

Don't get me wrong, there isn't anything bad about not knowing of these movies, it is just beyond me. Then again, I enjoy movies and trivia, so I like to know these things. Maybe you aren't in that small of a group.
