I remember them as the funniest books I ever read. Me, I've always wanted to name a cat "Meow Tse Tung", but then I just like the idea of naming pets after world leaders, especially dictators. I've always wanted to name a mouse or a parakeet "Saddam", too. > > > > Iss "and *how* is our little Saddam today??" achar > A friend of mine named her cat "Millard Fillmore" because Garfield was already taken. > H
'Millard Fillmore' is a good name for a cat. I also always liked Dave Barry's take on the Fillmore presidency, from his book _Dave Barry Slept Here_.
"Highlights of the Millard Fillmore presidency:
1. The Earth did not crash into the Sun."
When my wife and I were thinking about names for the hamster we planned to buy, I decided that someday I wanted to name a hamster "Thor". A whole set of household pets named after the Norse, or possibly Greek pantheon could be very amusing.
