There is no such thing a modesty in hospitals. The doctors that I currently go to(Ins. Co. decision) include a man and three women. Two out of three of the women have examined me in very personal ways and it didn't bother me a bit. Any time you have a test that requires that you are drousey or asleep, there are likely to be doctors and nurses of both genders in the room. I guess I'm not completely old-fashioned.
