When Tamara and I got married, our marriage license said we had to wait something like 48 hours after getting the paper. Our ceremony started 47 hours after getting the paper. Luckily, it was a Catholic Wedding Mass, so we could've started as soon as we got the paper...

When my friends got married a year later, the Catholic priest had a little message to the Methodists in the pews. "For those of you who have never experienced a Catholic Wedding Mass, you may have heard that they do run a bit long. I'll try to speed things up and hopefully we'll get out of here before midnight."
