LOL! Another "TPS Moment" from the same Olympic commentator was during the obligatory celebrity-spectator-spotting. As the camera lingered for several nanoseconds on Bill Gates and then zipped back to the teams, our man desperately tried to fit some commentary in. You could almost hear his thoughts as he tried to work it out:
"And there's Bill Gates, the [richest? or is he? Maybe he isn't! Uh oh!]...most...[what the heck can I say here?]...famous...man in the...[oh my God, they're back on the teams already]...ah...Microsoft."
Another great "I ran out of things to say two hours ago but they're paying me by the word" comment was "And of course the Australian dollar has slipped a bit in the last few weeks recently, but who cares! It's the Olympics!"
