This is just plain weird.

This morning, I was slumbering peacefully in my warm little coccoon of a futon in the basement, and my mom came downstairs to wake me up, just as she always does. I grumbled about it, but when I looked at my watch, it was 5:52, so I deemed it wise to get up.

I went upstairs, took a shower, and looked at my watch again when I got out. The time? 5:42. Pondering this, I made my way downstairs again. The lights were on in the kitchen, as is usual after my mom wakes me up. However, she wasn't there.

Back down to the basement went I to put on my boots. And then my mom came downstairs to wake me up... at 5:52.
