> Yes, the song is "Beep, Beep" by The Playmates and released by Roulette Records a couple millenia ago. I have it on an album called Goofy Gold that I actually bought from a t.v. commercial many decades ago, when I was a child and didn't know any better.

Yep! That's it. It came out in the mid-50's.
As near as I can remember, The Playmates were a male quartet.
