I imagine it's better to get the money sooner and save it, but those who aren't good at saving money can force themselves to save it in that way.
My mom works at a private high school, and they have a choice to be paid on the 10-month plan or the 12-month plan. If I had that choice, and I took the 12-month plan, that would make so excited to get a paycheck every two weeks even though I wasn't working.
However, most teachers *do* work during the summer. They spend hours creating their lesson plan for the following year, making changes in the curriculum, etc.
