I thought it was good, silly, no-brainer fun. I don't know a thing about the comic books, so I can't comment on how well they were adapted for the movie, but I thought it was enjoyable. Also, I learned a lot:
If your power is raising weather, you ought to wear a cape and have long hair, just so they can blow around dramatically when you do.
When things are moved by telekinesis they make a whooshing noise.
Somewhere in the world, there has to be a shop which sells kinky black leather outfits to superheroes. It's making a fortune.
Magneto's giant neon spaghetti-making clam is really cool, even if you have no clue what it's supposed to be doing the first time he uses it.
Growling ominously is an OK superpower, if you can't manage anything else.
Wouldn't Mystique get sort of, er, cold? I guess not.
Being in a wheelchair always adds an air of great authority and hidden power to movie characters. It beats me why.
Girls, if you get super powers and are stuck for an image, you could probably do OK by picking a name at random from your nearest perfume counter.
You can't tell the difference between bad-guy and good-guy hideouts just by the decor anymore. The all-stainless-steel look is getting way out of control.
Whatever accent Anna Paquin was trying for, it wasn't working. Hmm.
