Ha! We saw Mystery Men just the other week and thought it was hilarious, after the world's lamest opening scenes. It picked up pretty well from there on. I don't think it even had a theatre release here, I'd never heard of it until seeing it on the video shelf.
I imagine they'd have regulations about not snacking at your station on the Enterprise, but yeah, that's a great mental image there. I picture a signal coming in from an evil intruder ship and the comms officer jumping to pick up the call with a big mouthful of popcorn. "MMMPH mmph! *choke* *splutter* sorry, I was *gulp* eating something, what did you say about the Neutral Zone?"
