I know I've already posted to this thread, but after a night's sleep my head is clearer about some things. (strange how that happens every time.)
Death Penalty:
Easy way out? Sure. But that's not a bad thing. Who said you had to do everything in life the hard way? I offer a hypothetical situation for all those opposed. If a person came into your home, and killed your spouse/child/signifigant other you'd be either sad, depressed, or insane with seething revenge. Would you say, "It's just more killing, so it's wrong."? Would you say, "Let's put this person in a cell for the rest of his/her life so they have three meals a day, a bed to sleep in, and a warm place in the winter"? Nope. You'd want revenge. You'd want closure. You'd want Justice. See?
Assited Suicide:
'Even if a person is in unholy pain, it's wrong, because it's still killing.' Ok. You seem to think that killing is wrong. Well, it's not, if the person *wants* to die. You have a right to your own life.
And kids shouldn't be forced to wear uniforms in school. We're children, not soldiers.
