Most of them look like they have four-wheel drive, but don't. My daughter gets kidded by her big brother who calls her 4Runner a 2Runner. The few that really do have 4WD actually do have some off-road ability, but the high center of gravity makes them dangerous on rough terrain. Walk through a junk yard and you will find that wrecked SUV's almost always turn over. For good off-road transportation, get a horse! Before I make too many SUV 4WD owners mad, I have to admit that they are pretty good in sand, mud or snow if the terrain is fairly flat. They won't stop any faster than a 2WD on snow. We all have four wheel brakes. As far as I'm concerned, the jury is still out on those big, noisy tires. How"So what is an ex spurt?"ard
