It's not *too* bad.

There is, however, an extended version which you have to be careful of.
The extended version of _Dune_ should be an object lesson to anyone who thinks that any extended version of a movie is the director's cut. The director had nothing to do with the extended version of _Dune_ except to have his name removed from the credits so that nobody would think it was his idea.
