Ever since I got my hands on a book called "The Nitpicker's Guide for Next Generation Trekkers," which points out any goof made in any episode of Star Trek, I've had fun finding flaws in various movies.
I just saw The Man Without A Face the other day. There's a scene where the kid steals a car to go see his friend. You hear the gears grinding away as he tries to get the thing going. Cut to an interior shot and you see no shift selector. This is significant because the car is a Citroen DS, which came in either manual (which would have had a shift selector) or hydrostatic, which was a constantly variable transmission that would not make grinding noises like a manual. So someone decided that grinding noises would sound good and dubbed 'em in.
