Among the improvements I was thinking of doing
was a page that stored the last 20 messages or
so that were ever posted to the forum.

In the meantime, search for a blank space in the
search feature, and you can get a list of all
messages in alpha-numeric order, which, while
not elegant, will at least help you zero in on
what's been posted recently.
