Nope, thank goodness; it would *never* fit in my mother's car. Somehow the bassist manages to get it into his moderately-sized 4-door auto, and despite having seen him do it, I still don't think I could recreate the feat or even say how it was done. This impresses me greatly. (I'm usually seen with either a bassoon or a viola, both of which fit nicely on the floor of the backseat.) You play the cello?
