That's what I think. I liked the first three a great deal, but from the fourth on I could tell there was no longer a plan. He had originally planned on a trilogy, but ...

... Curses! This is my worst gripe about the books. They'll never finish if he keeps bringing the bad guys to life (and making new ones!), and they'll never kill off the bad guys if the bad guys stay hidden in those places of great mystery. It seems like Jordan just doesn't know what's going on, but writing it down as it happens.
