If I can get at least one other independant confirmation that "The Evil Dead" (just the original, at least) really *was* a bad movie and not a spoof or an intentionally bad movie, then I'll have Sam post the review ASAP.

Okay, here's the deal. "The Evil Dead" was intended to be a serious horror flick, but it was just too bad to take seriously. "Evil Dead 2" is a spoof of the first movie; same setting, same character, same events (well, roughly), but made cheesy on purpose. "Army of Darkness" was intended to be a comedy from the get-go.
