This is uncanny. I've done exactly the same thing! I have about 14 people coming over for a BBQ, which is most likely gonna be in the rain. At least you can turn this one off as it's gas.

Also, when we had the Great British Hurricane in '87, we lost several roof tiles that fell into the front driveway. My dad's car had broken tiles littered next to, behind and in font of it, with not a scratch on the car itself! Conversely, our nighbours lost one tile that went straight through the rear window and ended up on the back seat.
