How humiliating

I can't believe I'm going to admit this, but I think the Dairy Queen employee mentioned in "Things People Said" might be me. When I was in high school I worked for the Dairy Queen in our small town. On a particularly busy day I had been switching from working the counter to working the drive-thru. Well, in a very busy moment I answered the drive-thru with "Welcome to Dairy Queen, is this for here or to go?" I then spent the next 5 minutes laughing at myself. I'm sure that there are other people who have made this mistake, but I figured I'd own up to it. Anyway, here's a good one:
In my town we have a Food Court with 4 different restaurants in it. It usuallys stays pretty busy. One day while I was waiting for my food I was looking around and reading different signs. One sign that was by the cash register read: "Picture Menus Available by Request" When the girl working came to the counter I asked her what that was about. I know myself that I get a better idea of what a meal consists of at a more high-class restaurant if there is a picture of it in the menu; but, I couldn't figure out what one couldn't decipher about a Whopper or a chicken sandwhich. Well, the girl looked at me and said: "Those are for people who can't read." I just looked at her. I don't know who the genius was the made the sign, but they clearly didn't put much thought into it.
