I'm not sure how you fall, but, at any rate, there are a couple different ways I lie on them. The most common requires 4-6 stairs. Stair X is the one you sit on. Sit sideways. Stair X+2 (two steps higher) is your pillow or armrest. Rest your head on it here, or, alternately, put your elbow on it and prop your head up with that hand. Stair X-1 is where you put your feet. Experienced stair liers can use stair X-2 or X-3 for the feet, depending on how much you want to stretch out. The only particular disadvantage to this position is that stair X+1 tends to dig into your side, but I can usually minimize this with a little shifting.
