Yeah, you're right. That IS a pretty cool phrase. It's only slightly less cool than saying, by way of random example, that you've been working overtime, and now your $#@! bus home is late, and at this point it'd be faster "waiting for continental drift to move you to your destination". Now that was a really handy turn of phrase, too. Too bad, then, that continental drift doesn't exist. :-) Does anyone remember a Sherwin-Williams paint logo of a spinning earth globe, which had colourful splotches of wet paint to artfully represent the continents? I don't; it must have been before my time. They probably changed the logo 'cause apparently folks were calling it "Continental Drip".
