I'm not sure whether you understood me to be implying that we're made in the "bodily image" of God or not, so to be clear about it: I'm not saying that at all. I don't think humans "look" like God; I can't come up with a way even to think about God having an appearance in the way that you or I have appearances. Certainly God can make intelligent creatures in any physical form he likes, although I'm not prepared to say that God actually *has* made other intelligent creatures that are alien to us. At any rate, the phrase "in his own image" doesn't at all, in my mind, restrict intelligent life to human or human-like bodies. Although the producers of Star Trek sure seem to think so. :-)
