Spontaneous humor. Funny things that happen that catch me by surprise; my kids for one. A well written joke can also do it too, as long as I don't see the punch coming. That's one reason I'm overly critical of sit-coms, particularly badly written ones. If I can see the punch line coming a mile away, why should I laugh?

However, a well written and well performed bit can make me laugh no matter how many times I see it.
