Don't try this either: Fill a pump action spray bottle (the kind that may have contained glass cleaner) with none other than good, old fashioned gasoline. Hold a lighter in the other hand, and flame on.
It works great on surfaces as well. Just spray it a few times, then hit it once with the flame.
