Maybe I should have watched more of the show when it was on too... I had to go somewhere and missed the second half.
It may have been a different car that they fixed without tools, or maybe they meant no "bought in a hardware store" tools... ?
The part about the wooden clutch I'm pretty sure is right, although I don't think it was pine they were talking about...
