Alright, I got another one of those lists of imponderables via EMail today (bringing the total to something most meaningfully expressed in scientific notation, no doubt), and I read a few to my mother. "Why is 'bra' singular while 'panties' is plural?"

"Well," she replied, "why is the freeway where you drive cars and the parkway where you drive cars?"

"I think I'll go lay down now."

This made my day. :-)

Also, one of the best typos I have ever encountered is about that esteemed former president, "Eisenhowever"...
