I'm actually suprised when I hear people talking about transfering there essays from writing to the computer. I also don't understand how people can write essays in pen, even first drafts. If I have to write something long hand I need to have an eraser, not just to fix mistakes but sometimes, half way though a sentice I'll think of a better way to phrase something.

I am completely opposite when it comes to pens vs. pencils. The only time I ever use a pencil is on a Scantron or in math. I haven't had math for several years, so my pencils get very little use.

On the other hand, I love pens. Dr. Grip pens are my favorite, because they seem to prevent my very annoying tendinitis from surfacing. I usually don't have a lot of problems needing to correct things: My main problem is trying to write fast enough to keep up with my brain!

Yes, I do type just about everything, but there are times (note-taking, interviews, etc) when a pen and paper are the best thing around. And, since I've been writing for as long as I can remember, I still sometimes like to sit down with a pen and a piece of paper and just write for the sake of writing.
