Nope, I don't do circles for dots. It looks too cutesy. No, I draw the vertical line for the 'i' from top to bottom, then zip up to put a dot on top, and if the pen leaves the paper during that zip, good, if not, oh well. Usually I manage lift off, and sometimes, depending on the word, I don't dot i's until the word is completely anyway.
